April 5, The last shot in my series with the Fire Truck. I captured these at a special community broadcast of our newscast last week. We take our shows out to smaller communities in our area to showcase the community and all they have to offer. The Fire and EMS crew from Princeville were wonderful people and put so much into protecting their fellow towns people.<br />

I could have used one of the EMS guys Saturday. As I was trimming trees, one of the large branches came down on my forehead... after a trip to the ER and 6 stitches I had my own "special" purple Easter Egg! Hope everyone has a great week.

  • March 7, Another post from the Washington trip. This statue is located in front of the Smithsonian Castle. It is Joseph Henry (17 December 1797 – 13 May 1878). He was an American scientist who served as the first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, as well as a founding member of the National Institute for the Promotion of Science, a precursor of the Smithsonian Institution. The SI unit of inductance, the henry, is named in his honor, as are derivative units such as the millihenry and microhenry. Henry's work on the electromagnetic relay was the basis of the electrical telegraph, invented by Samuel Morse and Charles Wheatstone separately.

Great choice for B&W processing on this one.
So sorry about the trip to the ER. I hope it's all better quick.
